Meet our staff

Miss Chantal — Principal
2024 is my 10th year (!) sharing my love of dance and child development with the children at Hills Ballet School. Working as a dancer, dance teacher (registered with the Royal Academy of Dance) and classroom teacher for the last 25 years has taken me on many adventures in Adelaide and worldwide. At HBS I have found a place to bring together my skills and passions and we hope to work to create a movement hub  to keep the next generation moving as well as loving the arts!
I will always be very thankful to all the little dancers who re-ignited my love of dance, ballet and the joy of movement when I returned to Australia. It is with great delight that I can see them now taking great leaps and bounds in their movement education.

Miss Jacki Ballet and Contemporary, Tap
I completed my RAD ballet exams up to Adv 2 and undertook competitions, study and performance opportunities in SA and interstate. I have taught pre-schoolers up to mature age adults, different styles of dance in both private and school settings and am a qualified Physiotherapist with a diploma in Pilates. I also undertake pointe shoe assessments. I enjoy watching students gain an understanding of themselves through movement and the confidence and creativity they develop through dance.

Miss Cayleigh Ballet, Contemporary, Tap
Dance has always been my passion, I started ballet when I was 2 (Apparently I begged my mum) and picked up contemporary in my teens. I have Bachelor in Dance Performance and now Master of Teaching (Primary). Hills Ballet School is where my two passions meet: dance and teaching. I love being able to share my interest/knowledge of dance with students and watch them grow and find joy in dancing and the HBS community. Outside of HBS I still work as an independent artist and have directed/co-directed and performed in 2 award winning Fringe shows: in[nate]ture (2017) and Retrieve Your Jeans (2020). I am also working as a relief teacher and have temporary contract teaching performing arts in term 2.

Miss Kezia — Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Acrodance, Jazz
I have been dancing since I was 8 and studied a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Dance) and Bachelor of Education (Secondary). Since completing that degree I have continued to share my love of dance with babies, children, teens and adults. I love the joy and enthusiasm children bring to the dance studio.
