Contemporary dance is a very expressive form of dance that ‘breaks the rules’ of Classical Ballet and creates new ones of its own. It therefore has fewer restrictions, and is a creative fusion of many dance styles such as Jazz, Modern and Classical Ballet. Contemporary is versatile, it can be combined with visual effects or be mixed with other dance forms to create new styles of movement.
Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. The focus on alignment and breath helps your dancer to be aware of where their body is in space, how they are standing, whether their muscles are tense, or relaxed, and whether their breathing enhances or inhibits their movements

Contemporary Dance can be challenging both physically and emotionally and it pushes the boundaries of dance and forces audiences to think and take chances
